Camp

At camp we did lots of fun activities there was abseiling, rock climbing ,bmx riding, rifle shooting and archery.It was a lot of fun.This is a pic monkey of me during the week the 17th of march till the 20th. the big photo is of me doing  abseiling . It was a super awesome!

Athletics day tomorrow

Tomorrow is athletics,
I feel nervous about the running  because in 200 metres  I have won it for the last 2 years I don't
feel so confident that I am going to win .
I would like to win 200 metres again my favourite is running.

Time

We have been doing time . I have learn't that 12,3,6 and 9 have special meanings.  The 12 means o'clock,the three means quarter past,the 6 means half past and the 9 means quarter to.

Athletics Practice

My favourite part of athletics was 200 hundred metres because I am great at running and better at longer distance . I learn't that a way to find out which foot goes in front you stand on your tippy toes and fall over what ever foot you land on is the foot that goes in front.

Long Jump

This week we have been doing long jump. To do long jump you need to run up to the mat and jump, use your arms for momentum . You  need to push off one foot and you land on two feet. When you land you need to try not to fall over or fall forwards. You need to stay in there for three seconds.

Term 3 Reflection

My speech

On Monday I did my speech. What I think I did well was using eye contact. What I think I need to work on is to use a bit more expression.

Cannon ball! sprinting, leaping off the biggest board. Zooming well doing the Mexican wave. Diving into the huge patch of water  SPLASH!!! I hit the water. On my next turn I did a staple was fun to. Splashing. going down like a cheetah.

Paper Planes

It was zooming throw the air It was  twirling and twisting and flipping .The cool part was that it went backwards and then it rebounded  off the wall . Okay I will let you know what I am talking about a PAPER PLANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The paper plane kept on nose diving. The paper plane was smooth it could fly far.When it lands it skids across the ground.The plane has mud on the tip of the planes nose.To fly the plane it needs hight.The colour of the plane is white.The planes nose went wonkey.The plane was twirling like a tornado.

Dr Hood's Talk

Have you touched meteorite well I have?Yesterday Dr Steve Hood came in to talk to use .He is a geoscientist that means that he studs rocks,he works at the university of waikato and he goes on adventures to find new rocks.The rocks that are the smallest are called micro and the big are macro. Dr Steve Hood thinks that rocks are like books and they tell a story.

My Mask Reflection

Last week we had our assembly it was based on masks. I created a mask  that represented me. I  had a base colour of a lions skin. I did  two stripes of red and blue because my favourite soccer team is Barcelona .In the middle there are soccer balls because I am passionate about soccer. I put a lightsaber on because I like star wars. I found doing the soccer balls the hardest. Next time I would do my favourite colour.

Maori Phase of the week

Today me and Kaspar created a puppetpals  about the  Maori phase of the week.

Making crystals

Yesterday we made sugar solution, you make sugar solution out of sugar and hot water. Next we got a cup and got a stick and  tied a piece our string to it. Then you put the sugar solution  in the cup till half way.
Last of all you put it on the window sill to get sunlight.

My predictions are  that the water will evaporate and the crystals will grow and stick to the string.

Waitomo Caves

Waitomo Caves

Yesterday the middle team and the parents went on a bus to the the Waitomo Caves to learn about  who discovered the Waitomo Caves and what was in there.

First the Waitomo caves  guide told us the Waitomo Caves rules even though we had already made up some of our own.When we first got in the caves I saw pitch black,on the way down the guide showed us a big rock that had come from the ceiling. When we got down to the bottom we sang a song to Brandon and Anthony.Next the guide showed us the stalactites and stalagmites. Then we went down some stairs and down the stairs were...GLOW WORMS!!! I looked at the gloworms I could see there strings hanging. The gloworm looked like a light.Next we went in the boat. After the boat we had morning tea and went in the museum in the museum. There were some fun activities and also some facts after the museum we went in a room  a guy name Ric taught us some facts. The scientific name for a gloworm is  a Archana Luminosa. After Ric talked to us we went on the bush walk.When were went on the bush walk there was a cave.

The big bad house 

When the three little pigs grew up, they decided to move into a house together. The first wall of their new house was hay, the next sticks, and the other wall bricks. They built a house that was big and it had security systems that captured the bad intruders and dropped them into a pot of boiling water. Then they each made their own families and moved out, leaving the house deserted.Then the big bad wolf came and took there house and made it as evil as he wanted. If anyone came near he would eat them. but the 3 little pigs had a plan. They would turn the security off and would go inside and beat the wolf up and put the wolf in the pot of water and get the house back to normal. They did what they had to do so now they have moved into the house with their families again.

A dark nightmare

I was walking down the road and then I saw a bright light. Something quickly smashed into me, right in the face. I thought it was a truck but then I blacked out. It was pitch black. I felt a cold shiver up my back. I quickly looked behind me but there know in there. There was a tunnel. It was long pitch black tunnel. I sprinted down it and there was a round room. Inside were zombies all around me. I was helpless! They crouched over me. I did not know what to do... they would kill me! Then someone’s head popped out of a different tunnel. It was the person who killed my father.

Living in Lava

A volcano is where I live. In my volcano  l am  made out  of lava. I have ten spikes all over my body. My house is full of lava because I am made our lava. I can do what I want in my volcano . I can go lava swimming and do other things.

This article was about these five cubs who were born at Orana Wildlife Park it happened on Saturday, afternoon.   The zoo keepers were watching the cubs on CCTV and they save 3 cubs. However they think that two of the cubs got eaten.

The Scary Tree

Once upon a time I was walking down the street. I fell down a hole. It took me to the underworld. There was a stream and there  were piranas in the stream. In front of me I saw a scratched door. There were a code for the door.I entered some numbers 1279... Suddenly they changed into a code **** but it was wrong so I tried  again. I tried 0977 it was right. The door opened. A lion came out. Luckily I had a sword  that my great great grand father gave  to me. It was special to me. Next second the lion was close so I swang  my sword  and cut the lion open. Our group read a story that was called pohutukawa. We wrote facts about pohutukawa.

3. The bark protects the tree from losing water.

4. People think that the pohutukawa is the Chrismas tree.

5. Geckos eat the leaves of the pohutukawa.

Last night when I went to sleep I heard someone crack open the door. I leapt out of bed and fell down the stairs and tumbled to the ground. I hit my head hard and I blacked out. When I woke up and I was surrounded by 

Chocolate men I said "Oh no" Then I thought oh I know karate. Next second they where leaning down.

Then I shouted "What you are doing to me?" they replied with    "I will eat you" Next second I was punching their  faces and kicked them in the guts  they fell to the ground. I dragged them to my bedroom and ate them.

2012 reflection

[2012 was cool] my favourite memory was moving to room 8 because it was super duper exciting.




My wost memory  was when  I beat up my head  and I had to get stitches.

So in this photo as you can see I am not in it because  we did not take photos of our play.But in this play I enjoyed everything.

This is my grass head when it has only a little bit of hair. My grass head is one of the one's that has the least amount of hair.

Making ice cream

 

Making ice cream was exiting we had to pour milk and sugar + vanilla essesense. In the  bigger one we pot ice cubes  and  salt .  It was yummy Oisin brought spinkles to put on top . I loved  it

Wish, wish we were in group in making butter it was freaky, we had a jar and we had to shake it. I thought that if we shake it to hard the lid would pop off  and we would get butter on us.

Welcome back to school for Term 4

This term it is going to be cool because we get to go on heaps of trips. Our topic is from Milk to Ice cream, we get to go to a Farm. I want to learn what machines they have to make milk. In athletics I want to ahchieve High Jump. We get to have swimming lessons at Water World too. Yay we are back at school.   

Tane Mahuta

Tane Mahuta was 14m wide,  he was the God of the forest some people say that the kiwi doesn't know how to fly. The bug's were eating the tree's. Kiwi's would all  get dirty and  would not be able to go up to the top of  the tree's.  Tane Mahute is a tree. We had to hold some string to show how fat Tane is.

End of term 3

Yay it's the end of term 3 and we get two weeks of holidays. I am doing heaps of things like going to the farm where my grandma Wendy and my uncle Ken are. Emily is going by herself but I am coming up later. We are going to the beach in Whangamata where my granny and grandad live. I am really good at soccer so I am going to a camp with heaps of soccer players. We are probably going to see our cousins.

My production practices has been going well.

I really like production  practice because the flowers  get to do the  Usane Bolt move  and curl  up in a ball.

Daffodil day

Today is Daffodil day you can see that I am wearing yellow and a flower in my hand . I know what the daffodil means...............  HOPE.

A big WIN for a 6yr old boy!

On Tuesday it was cross country. I won gold, well not really getting gold but I came first. It is just a slip of paper. I just about got past by Niall he is fast as but I am faster than him.
